Mumbai Light Festival: Satellite presents TETRAPODS

A Diwali gift to the city of Mumbai

Art + Design -

Tetrapods are one of the most iconic elements associated with the city of Mumbai. A part of this city’s legacy of rebuilding and reclamation, they are entrenched in every Mumbaikar’s visual memory.

During Diwali 2022, Mumbai Light Festival presented a one-of-its-kind gift for Mumbaikars that was inspired by these structures and the magic of lights.

TETRAPODS, showcased at Mumbai's Girgaon Chowpatty, featured a set of thirty tetrapod structures that lit up to evoke various shapes, patterns and moods. Dynamic, immersive and a stunning addition to one of the city’s most iconic public spaces, TETRAPODS expands the possibilities of celebrating our beloved festival of lights in new ways.
