About The Artist
Son of well-known Pardhan Gond artists Durgabai and Subhash Vyam, Mansingh learnt painting from his parents at an early age. Even though he studied to be a Mechanical Engineer, Mansingh Vyam stands today as one of the most promising talents of the Gond School of Painting. Often depicting Gond myths in brilliant hues of orange, yellow and green, his paintings have been a part of prominent exhibitions in India and France. In 2011, Mansingh was selected for the State Award by Madhya Pradesh Hastashilp Vikas Nigam.
