Debangshu Moulik is an artist based in Pune, India. Drawing from comic books, animation and art history, his vivid and stylised artworks are characterised by bold lines and explored in a variety of mediums. Typically featuring many human characters, all rendered with singular expressiveness, Debangshu's work also bears traces of traditional influence. This comes across in the way he draws facial features, which are inspired by Indian religious iconography such as the Kalighat paintings and the sculptures of Mahabalipuram. Debangshu earned a BFA from Abhinav Kala Vidyalaya, Pune University, where he studied Painting. He has been commissioned for art projects by numerous brands including Google, Meta, Snapchat, Samsung, Vice and Levis.
